Q: How do I get legal adivice?

A: Call the attorney referral line, CLEAR at 1-888-201-1014 between 9:30am and 12:15pm

This is the intake line used by all the legal agencies in the State of Washington. If you qualify for our program they will send your referral to us via fax. You will then receive a phone call from one of our staff members to discuss your options.

Q: How do I qualify?

A: When you call the referral line they will ask you a series of questions to see which program you may qualify for. Your income will be the main factor in your qualifications.

Q: What are the Low-Income Guidelines?

A: You must meet the 125% poverty guidelines. A family of 1 must make less than $1128.17 per month.

Q: What if I need assistance for a criminal matter?

A: Our guidelines do not allow us to help with criminal cases.

Q: Does there have to be an attorney on the other side of my case?

A: Only if your case is in family law. All other cases there does not need to be an attorney on the other side. All of our attorneys are volunteers to our program.

Q: Can I have more than one case open with your Society?

A: We are for Equal justice. If you are just wanting to receive help with a Will, then we can find an attorney to help with this kind of case. If you are in a domestic dispute, we are able to help you with your case but unable to open another case at the same time. This does not mean we are unable to help you with another case, we just ask that we take care of one case at a time.
