A: Call the attorney referral line, CLEAR at 1-888-201-1014 between 9:15am and 12:30pm This is the intake line used by all the legal agencies in the State of Washington. If you qualify your referral will be sent to Benton Franklin Legal Aid. You will then receive a phone call from one of our staff members to discuss your options.Q: How do I qualify? A: When you call the referral line they will ask you a series of questions to see which program you may qualify for. Your income will be the main factor in your qualifications. Q: What are the Low-Income Guidelines? A: You must meet the 200% Federal poverty guidelines. A family of 1 must make less than $1205.07per month. Q: What if I need assistance for a criminal matter? A: Our guidelines do not allow us to help with criminal cases. Q: Does there have to be an attorney on the other side of my case? A: Only if your case is in family law. All other cases there does not need to be an attorney on the other side. All of our attorneys are volunteers to our program. Q: Can I have more than one case open with your Society?
